#DOTHEIMPOSSIBLE: Resilience

EDUCATE AND EMPOWER YOUR STUDENTS WITH RESILIENCe & IMPROVED MENTAL HEALTH FROM JASON MICHAELS, AN ACCLAIMED PROFESSIONAL MAGICIAN WHO LIVES AND THRIVES WITH TOURETTE SYNDROME.

Overcome Adversity. BE Empowered.

Jason was one of the best we have had in a long time! As a student council advisor for over thirty years, and state executive director for over 10 years, I have heard lots of speakers on a lot of topics. His message about resilience and what he had to go thru was amazing! The students, over 900, were so quiet and attentive to him, it was really amazing. Jason was the most personable speaker too. He would dine with my board members several times; the kids loved him. Students wanted selfies with him all the time. Then there is his magic show that I don’t have words for! But advisors and the students will be completely blown away! I have listened to Jason in two different locations and was so moved each time! So, what you get for his price is well worth it is all I can say! I really can’t say enough words about how pleased I was to have hired Jason Michaels as our keynote speaker for our 2023 SDSCA state convention! Thanks.
— Gary Linn, SDSCA State Executive Director

WHAT is the program about?

In today’s volatile world, the most important skill your students can develop is that of RESILIENCE.

Being able to easily bounce back from the unexpected challenges of life gives your students a pivotal life skill. Being resilient also gives them an advantage in business, athletics, education, and numerous other competitive arenas that will serve them well their entire life.

Jason Michaels grew up with the debilitating and often misunderstood neurological disorder Tourette Syndrome. By developing and adapting the most effective resilience techniques, he navigated a difficult life and became a model of high performance – travelling around the world entertaining audiences and winning international magic awards.

Although the naysayers claimed it would be impossible for him to become a professional entertainer, today Jason is an accomplished professional magician who has performed for hundreds of thousands of people in fifty different countries.

While Jason still lives with the uncontrollable tics, twitches, and vocalizations of Tourette’s, this is NO tragic story.

By using his skills as a magician and comedian, Jason delivers a FUN and ENTERTAINING program on RESILIENCE which teaches his five most effective resilience techniques, all while engaging your students with his inspiring one-of-a-kind story, his eye-opening insights, and amazing magic demonstrations that illustrate and teach his life-changing resilience strategies.

Immediately upon learning Jason’s resilience strategies, your students will be empowered to better overcome the challenges of life and thrive during uncertain times.

NOW BOOKING IN PERSON AND VIRTUAL EVENTS.

YOUR students WILL LEAVE WITH THESE TAKEAWAYS:

  1. Ownership. Take the first steps past denial and towards empowerment by identifying and “owning” the challenges that feel overwhelming.

  2. Communication. Feeling embarrassed by your challenges? That was a decades long mental block for Jason. Learn how communication can “normalize” what you are dealing with.

  3. Compassion. Treating yourself with compassion is one of the foundational building blocks in the development of resilience.

  4. Perspective. Lack of perspective is the number one thing most people get wrong. Bring your obstacles into proper perspective and the rest of your life starts coming into focus, too.

  5. Gratitude. Being thankful is an everyday choice. Choosing to focus on healthy thoughts crowds out unhealthy thoughts.

I have been in education for 24 years. I have seen a lot of motivational speakers in my time. Many use a formula and lack a true emotional connection. Jason’s story about his Tourette’s Syndrome and the teacher who took a chance on him was REAL. We could feel it as his emotions bubble to the surface. The show was fun, interactive and packed an emotional punch. Highly recommended for staff and students.
— Steve Dishon, Taylor High School
THANK YOU! I immediately messaged my Dean of Students following the event and said how powerful your program and message came across! I heard students talking as they left the event and they agreed with that!
