Things to Do in Nashville Not Bars: Some of My Favorites
Overview
Music City has jokingly been called a drinking city with a music problem. If you have chosen to come to enjoy our incredible live music scene, then you should definitely enjoy as much country music as your heart desires! While you’re at it, join the locals and imbibe on your favorite beverage.
At some point however, everyone wonders what else there is to do in Music City than simply drink and visit the Grand Ole Opry or the Country Music Hall of Fame. Just so you know, the Grand Ole Opry is a historic venue central to country music and a must-visit location for live performances. Its iconic status and connection to other notable venues like the Ryman Auditorium make it a significant cultural experience in Nashville.
As a Nashville native however, I’ve seen the city change quite a bit over the last twenty years. Here are a few personal favorite things you can do in this incredible city on the Cumberland River that don’t involve drinking or going to bars. (Yes, bachelorette parties, I’m talking to you, too!)
